Solana group in Emmeloord: Potato breeders exhibit at Dutch „Open Days“ in early November

In collaboration with Dutch company Den Hartigh BV, a member of the Solana group, the most successful German and Dutch varieties of this season are displayed. The exhibition takes place in the warehouse of Den Hartigh.

The Open Days have been taking place for about 30 years in the first week of November to give local breeders the opportunity to present their potato varieties to an international audience. Traditionally, the visitors take a three-day round trip to visit all breeding companies, compare and evaluate current developments on the market.

The Solana group will be represented by managing director Torsten Spill as well as regional growing experts from Germany and sales managers from international subsidiaries to present the currently most successful varieties. Among those are table potatoes cooking type B Toscana andNatascha and Caruso and Opal for the production of crisps.
