Solana exhibits at trade fair in the Ukraine

Agricultural industry gathering in Kiev: For the second time, the Solana group exhibits at trade fair InterAGRO from 2nd to 4th of February. The exhibition takes place at the same time as the first-year anniversary of Solana Ukraina, one of the plant breeder’s youngest subsidiaries abroad. Since last February Solana Ukraina has been carrying out the import of seed potatoes and distribution of the Solana varieties to Ukraine and Belarus.

InterAGRO is the biggest agricultural exhibition in Ukraine and covers all spheres of agriculture. It is directed at promotion of modern technologies in the agro-industrial complex, such as agricultural machinery and latest scientific and technical development for professional agricultural companies. It offers a broad agenda including seminars and conferences. „As the Ukraine is considered to be one of the major markets in international potato trade, the development of our local business is very important to us”, says Solana’s managing director Torsten Spill. “We take the fair as an international forum to attend to our regular customers and possibly inspire new customers through our varieties.”

The Solana group is represented by Igor Zavadsky, managing director of Solana Ukraina, Torsten Spill and sales manager Dr. Hans-Jürgen Kaack to present the varieties which are listed in Ukraine to a broad international audience. Among those are main crop, cooking type B ware potatoes Secura and Satina, extra early cooking type B Arosa and Rosara with red skin as well asVerdi and Opal for the production of crisps.
