Continuing movement of the SaKa / Solana group: In the course of the coming restructuring of the company, the website of the North German potato breeder appears in new makeup, as well. At www.solana.de visitors find new functions and visual innovations starting at July 1st, 2010.
The new website captivates by its simple and clear menu navigation as well as its fresh and friendy color design featuring Solana-blue and potato-yellow. Customers and partners find extensive information around the group of companies and the offered services. Eleven sub-categories give information about potato varieties, seed potatoes, breeding, research and current events, such as exhibitions and conventions.
The visitors can already have a look at current news on the welcome page wich is frequently updated. A user-friendly plus is the separate category for service and the variety finder, which gives details on the wanted variety. The website content ist made perfect by a separate category for the media where press releases can be downloaded. „Besides our company’s restructuring, we wished to adjust our external image by our internet presence“, says Torsten Spill, managing director of Solana GmbH & Co. KG. „We are very satisfied with the outcome. A broad relaunch with a reasoned concept, informative, structured and modern.“
The relaunch of the internet presence takes place in line with the coming reorganization of SaKa / Solana group from July 1st, 2010: True to the motto "More quality. More flexibility. More Internationality." the Solana GmbH & Co. KG assumes distribution and marketing of SaKa potato varieties in Germany from July 1st, 2010.
So far, this has been solely business of SaKa Pflanzenzucht GbR, while Solana, being an independent commercial enterprise, was in charge of the distribution of the SaKa varieties in international potato business. The distribution of seed stock for agriculturists, manufacturing and trade in Germany will be carried out completely by Solana from July 1st. The company will become authorized user of the varieties as well, while SaKa will remain holder of the potato varieties and concentrate further on breeding and research. The primary reason for the reorganization is the growing international focus of the group of companies, especially in consideration of the decreasing boundaries in Europe. According to this focus, the website will appear in German and Englisch language.
