Fairbank's Selected Seed and Solana announce cooperation

An exciting new partnership in potato varieties in Australia commenced in August 2015 with Solana GmbH & Co. KG announcing Fairbank's Selected Seed Co. Pty Ltd as its exclusive agent for the region.

Solana is a highly regarded and very experienced potato breeder, based in Germany. It offers modern potato varieties for nearly every intended purpose in markets around the world. Fairbank's Seeds, a very well regarded and highly experienced supplier in the Australian vegetable seed industry, is excited to expand into the potato industry with the exclusive agency of the Solana range.

Fairbanks will be working closely with all key stake-holders in the industry, from the establishment of mini-tubers, to the seed and potato production, right through to the end users.
Fairbank’s Seeds will use their comprehensive experience in genetic importation, as well as their extensive contacts in the industry to ensure that the Solana varieties are well tested under Australian conditions so that all growers and processors have access to the Solana potato range.
