Secura chosen as variety with excellent taste

Solana variety "Secura" has been selected as potato variety with the best taste at Russian exhibition "Golden Autumn”. Visitors of the exhibition had the opportunity to try 14 different potato varieties in a blind tasting – and voted for Secura. The test was organized by the Russian Potato Federation.
The ware potato (cooking type B) has traditionally been popular in Russia: in addition to its taste it is appreciated because of its shape, its smooth skin and yellow flesh.

In Tjumen region, Siberia, Secura has a special position:  The agricultural company Krimm, which specialized in growing Secura, is based there. The company recently built a fountain – its center is a tuber of the variety  Secura.
